Pickup for Me: Terms and Conditions

Version 1.0 — effective 27 September 2026

These Pickup for Me Terms and Conditions (“Pickup Terms”) apply to every “Pickup for Me” order placed on the Zippiq platform. The platform is operated by New Dawn IT Solutions, 1st Floor, KC Centre, Karunagappally, Kerala, India (“Zippiq”, “we”, “us”, “our”). The Pickup Terms add to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. If they conflict with the Terms of Service on a Pickup for Me order, the Pickup Terms apply to that order.

In these Pickup Terms:

  • “Item” means the item, parcel or package you ask us to collect.
  • “Pickup Point” means the place where the Item is collected.
  • “Contact Person” means the person at the Pickup Point who hands the Item over.
  • “Delivery Partner” means the rider who accepts the order.

1. What the service is

1.1 Pickup for Me lets you ask a Delivery Partner to collect an Item you have already paid for or already own from a place inside our service area and drop it at your delivery address.

1.2 New Dawn IT Solutions is a technology platform. We connect you with a Delivery Partner and help coordinate the pickup. We are not the seller of the Item. We are not the sender or receiver of the Item. We are not a courier, carrier or logistics company for declared or valued goods.

1.3 Delivery Partners are independent contractors. They are not employees, agents or representatives of New Dawn IT Solutions (see section 6 of the Terms of Service and the Partner Terms).

1.4 You pay in advance only the delivery fee and platform fee shown before you confirm, plus applicable GST. The Delivery Partner does not buy goods for you, pay anyone for the Item or collect or carry money for the Item. Any payment for the Item is between you and the seller or sender, and it must be settled before the pickup.

1.5 The Item must fit safely on a two-wheeler and must not weigh more than the limit shown in the app. The limit is set by us and may change (it is currently 10 kg).

2. Your declarations

By placing a Pickup for Me order, you confirm and declare that:

2.1 the Item and its contents are lawful to possess, sell and transport in India and in Kerala;

2.2 you own the Item or are authorised by its owner to have it collected and delivered;

2.3 the description you give in the app is true and complete, and you have not hidden, disguised or left out anything about the contents;

2.4 the Item is within the size and weight limits shown in the app;

2.5 the Item is properly packed and sealed so that it can be carried safely on a two-wheeler without leaking, breaking or harming the Delivery Partner, other people or property;

2.6 the Item is not a prohibited item (section 3);

2.7 the Pickup Point, Contact Person and phone number you give are accurate.

A false declaration is a material breach of these Pickup Terms and of the Terms of Service.

3. Prohibited items

You must not ask us to collect or deliver any of the following. The list includes, without limitation:

3.1 narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances, and any substance controlled under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985;

3.2 firearms, ammunition, explosives, fireworks and weapons of any kind, including parts and replicas that can be mistaken for real weapons;

3.3 cash and currency (Indian or foreign), cheques, demand drafts and other negotiable instruments, any money or instrument sent for hawala or unaccounted money transfer, bullion, precious metals, precious stones and jewellery;

3.13 documents or items connected with any offence, or items that are the subject of a police case or court order;

3.14 anything else that is prohibited or restricted under any law in force in India or Kerala.

We may add items to this list at any time.

4. Inspection and refusal

4.1 Delivery Partners will not open sealed packages.

4.2 At the Pickup Point, a Delivery Partner may:

  • (a) ask the Contact Person or you to show the contents of the Item;
  • (b) photograph the Item, its packaging and any bill or receipt;
  • (c) check its approximate size and weight.

4.3 A Delivery Partner may refuse to collect, or may abandon a pickup already started (by returning the Item to the Pickup Point or handing it to the authorities under section 6), if:

  • (a) the Delivery Partner reasonably suspects the Item is or contains a prohibited item;
  • (b) the Item is over the size or weight limits or cannot be carried safely on a two-wheeler;
  • (c) the Contact Person or you refuse to show the contents when asked;
  • (d) the Contact Person asks the Delivery Partner to pay for, or collect money for, the Item;
  • (e) the Delivery Partner feels unsafe.

4.4 If a pickup is refused or abandoned under section 4.3, or if an Item turns out to be a prohibited item:

  • (a) the order is cancelled;
  • (b) the delivery fee and platform fee are not refunded;
  • (c) we may suspend or permanently close your account, as set out in section 11 of the Terms of Service.

4.5 We are not obliged to inspect any Item. If an Item is not inspected, that does not mean we or the Delivery Partner accepted or approved its contents.

5. Your responsibility and indemnity

5.1 You alone are responsible for the Item and its contents, and you alone are legally liable for them. This applies whether or not you packed the Item yourself.

5.2 Neither New Dawn IT Solutions nor the Delivery Partner is responsible for the nature, legality, quality, quantity, condition or value of the contents of any Item.

5.3 You agree to indemnify and hold harmless New Dawn IT Solutions, its proprietors, employees and agents, and the Delivery Partner, against all claims, demands, penalties, fines, seizures, confiscations, investigations, prosecutions, losses, damages, costs and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or connected with:

  • (a) the contents of any Item;
  • (b) any false, incomplete or misleading declaration or description;
  • (c) any breach of these Pickup Terms;
  • (d) any claim by the seller, sender or owner of the Item.

5.4 This section 5 continues to apply after the order is completed or cancelled and after your account is closed.

6. Cooperation with law enforcement

6.1 If we or a Delivery Partner suspect that an Item is unlawful, we may, without notice to you:

  • (a) report it to the police or any other competent authority;
  • (b) hand the Item over to them;
  • (c) share order details, your name, phone number and account details, the Pickup Point and drop address, the Contact Person’s details, photographs, GPS and trip records, and call records.

We will share these where required or permitted by law and in line with our Privacy Policy.

6.2 We have no liability to you for any action taken in good faith under section 6.1, including the loss or seizure of the Item.

6.3 No Delivery Partner will be asked or expected to carry, hide or deliver anything unlawful. A Delivery Partner who refuses such an Item will not be penalised for refusing.

7. Limitation of liability for loss or damage

7.1 If an Item is lost or damaged while a Delivery Partner has it, the total liability of New Dawn IT Solutions and the Delivery Partner, taken together, is capped at the delivery fee and platform fee you paid for that order.

7.2 Do not send items of high value through Pickup for Me. We do not declare, value or insure Items. We are not liable for the value of any Item, whether or not you declared it. This includes electronics, documents of value, and anything listed in section 3.3.

7.3 We are not liable for loss or damage caused by poor packing, the nature of the Item (for example spoilage of perishables), delay, or events beyond our reasonable control (see “Force majeure” in section 18 of the Terms of Service).

7.4 To report loss or damage, raise a complaint within 24 hours of the delivery time or the expected delivery time, using the grievance process in section 11.

7.5 Nothing in these Pickup Terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

8. Pickup Point and Contact Person

8.1 You must make sure that:

  • (a) the Item is packed and ready when the Delivery Partner arrives;
  • (b) the Contact Person is at the Pickup Point, reachable by phone and willing to hand over the Item;
  • (c) the Pickup Point is correct and can be reached on a two-wheeler.

8.2 A pickup fails if the Contact Person cannot be reached after reasonable attempts, the Item is not ready within a reasonable waiting time, the Pickup Point is wrong or cannot be reached, or the Item is not handed over. In that case the order may be cancelled and the fees may not be refunded.

8.3 If a Delivery Partner cannot reach you at the drop address after reasonable attempts, the Item may be returned to the Pickup Point or held for collection. Any extra trip may be charged.

9. Cancellation and refunds

9.1 Cancellations and refunds follow section 9 of the Terms of Service, as changed by this section.

9.2 Before a Delivery Partner is assigned: you may cancel in the app, and any prepaid amount is refunded under the Terms of Service.

9.3 After a Delivery Partner is assigned: you cannot cancel the order in the app.

9.4 No refund is due for:

  • (a) a pickup refused or abandoned under section 4;
  • (b) a failed pickup under section 8.2;
  • (c) an Item found to be prohibited.

9.5 If we or the Delivery Partner cancel for reasons that are not your fault, any prepaid amount is refunded in full.

9.6 Approved refunds are made to your original payment method, on the timeline in the Terms of Service.

10. Acceptance

10.1 By placing a Pickup for Me order, you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted these Pickup Terms and the declarations in section 2.

10.2 We record your acceptance, the version of these Pickup Terms you accepted and the time of acceptance against each order. That record is evidence of your acceptance.

10.3 We may update these Pickup Terms. The version in force when you place an order applies to that order.
